The #BirdOfTheDay theme by @robcrank68 for today is #OneTwoThreeFour , I chose an Eastern Bluebird for Thrush family representation for the alt theme #ForJanet Doesn't it look like it's wearing a Canadian tuxedo? 🤣 #birds , #getoutside , #urbanbirder , #BlackinNature , #joy

I was just minding my own business gardening when I saw this Cooper's hawk swoop down from our neighbor's tree into another neighbor's shrubs, where it grabbed a bird and flew off into a tree. I grabbed my camera and captured the amazing scene. #birds, #urbanbirding, #BlackInNature , #getoutside

OntarioBlackBirder Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Stripes. Wondering if the pattern on this Northern Flicker would count? #birds , #urbanbirding , #getoutside , #nature , #joy , #BlackInNature
OntarioBlackBirder Turns out I'm messed up the #BirdOfTheDay . I didn't realize #Nesting was to include the bird holding nesting materials. Here's a Chipping Sparrow doing just that. 🥰 #birds , #nature , #joy , #getoutside , #BlackInNature
OntarioBlackBirder Black-throated Blue Warbler. Found this one during a lunch time walk. So happy my new work location attracts such a variety of warblers. #birds, #urbanbirding , #Blackinnature, #getoutside, #nature , #joy
OntarioBlackBirder Word in the sky is that today's #birdoftheday is #Podicipedidae Here are a couple of Red-necked Grebes. 🥰 #urbanbirding , #Blackinnature

#Blackbirdersweek Day 4 PSA- Let those dandelions grow! A few years ago I took a leave of absence to deal with the PTSD from 14yrs of inner city teaching, and years of government cutbacks. Birding is my medicine and the best therapy. This was my first sighting of an Indigo Bunting. .#Blackinnature

Day 3 of #Blackbirdersweek A common bird for our area, but not one I commonly see in my backyard. American Goldfinches are always welcome. 🥰 #birds , #Blackinnature, #urbanbirding , #getoutside , #weouthere
Dexter Patterson aka Wisco Birder Day 2 of #BlackBirdersWeek is all about Migration 🌎 Migration is one of my favorite times of the year. Birds endure storms, exhaustion, predators, light pollution, habitat loss, and thousands of miles… yet they arrive and they sing. 🎶🥹🪶 #BlackInNature #BirdJoy #Birding #WiscoBirder
