Petra the hermit crab I enjoyed my scenic hike along the Hanging Lake trail, near Glenwood Springs. Maybe it’s hard to tell from the picture, but the water was incredibly clear, with a green tint. Visitors are not allowed to touch the water with pereiopods or other types of limbs. 🦀🐚

Petra the hermit crab A few hours south by car from Colorado Springs is the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The dunes are truly impressive! It was a bit disorienting because you feel like you can keep walking forever and make no progress. Also, it looks like a giant beach with no shoreline or ghost crabs. 🏜️🦀🐚
