Behind The Edits #33 I could've just used any werehog death clip and called it a day, but I thought it would be funnier to show a silly death instead. I specifically booted up Unleashed and recorded this part (also turned the music off). Was the effort unnecessary? Yes. Was it funny? Also yes 🙂‍↕️

Behind The Edits #32 Lumafusion is my main editor, but unfortunately I don't get all the luxuries. This edit needed Krita for all the pngs with the white border and shadows. Capcut has a brush tool that allows me to get Esper out of the background. I rendered and then implemented this to lumafusion

Behind The Edits #31 The game's dialog doesn't fit the aspect ratio. Another layer of the gameplay is shrunken and cropped to fit and be readable. I trimmed the "host" part and made it a png layer to go along with the dialog to replicate this part as natural to the game as possible!

Behind The Edits #30 Cee's head was actually in the way of the mini game card, and because I couldn't just pull it up online, I screenshotted the card from other gameplay and replicated the effects here. The png appearing looks so seamless after the zoom in you wouldn't notice if I didn't say it

Behind The Edits #29 I simply recorded shadow falling in Shadow The Hedgehog from my own gameplay. It provided the best quality as ripping it from some other video was pretty bad. Had to remove sound too and replace it with the "Damn not here" line because this game has no option to remove music 🙂

Behind The Edits #28 The flashback segment is an Easter egg! "My life flashed before my eyes" made me come up with the idea to flashback a bunch of my edits. From the early edits to the most recent. A nice payoff to all my editing and you can tell I love editing to include such a fun throwback 😄

This WIP has become a little special to me. If you watched a bunch of my edits before, you'll probably pick up as to why when you watch it. Either way, I'll gladly explain something cool in Behind The Edits here sometime after this edit is published 🙂‍↕️

Behind The Edits #27 For the birthday, I wanted to throw something extra. So I made this thumbnail, but YouTube still doesn't do custom thumbnails. I placed it in the server and for this series I might as well show it here too 🙂‍↕️

Behind The Edits #25 The compilation contains 10 clips I haven't edited before, but I wanted to show off a couple shorts I was proud of this year. This layout is just like the one I made for Bid's Archive Season 1 compilation, but I added a bit more to make it cuter and make it Cee's theme

Behind The Edits #23 Going off of this, I didn't have the paper moving background like I see other vtuber edits have, so I took the one paper background I had and it simply rotates and flips. It's simple but very effective! I definitely would like to use this more in the future!

Behind The Edits #21 Not necessarily about the edit but the main reason I @ channels on YouTube is not to notify them, but it's to give an easy path to check out their channels. The links I provide in the description can't be clicked on so with this, it's only a tap or click away!

Behind The Edits #20 Yes, I am one of those editors who do captions by hand. Every 1-3 words I have individually typed and placed as well as animate with key frames to give it a bounce effect. No presets because presets changes the animation time and where I place them varies by the edit.

Behind The Edits #19 The chao drowning took multiple green screens and a second layer of the clip itself is cut to only fill in the "water". This layer and the green screen all are changed to a teal color to simulate a pool. This all made it look like the chao splashed and is drowning 😈

Behind The Edits #18 I used another gameplay clip entirely as you could not see much of King K in the original clip. This is also the reason why I added a png of King K earlier in the edit. This was to make viewers know who was talking in the game and to give more context within the clip

Behind The Edits #17 I actually screen recorded this part of typing the twitch page! I thought it would be a funny touch since she shouted out the whole twitch link lmao

Behind The Edits #16 Going in deep with this one. First, this transition here looks seamless, but it's actually spliced to another part of the clip! The illusion to this is that the gamescreen never really moved, baariez's moved out and in with a later part of the clip, and the noise is subtle!

Behind The Edits #15 The font I use is Fredoka One. I seen some vtuber edits use rounded fonts and this one I think(?) one of Projekt Melody's editors use? So yeah, they're my inspiration for the font. As for the drop shadow, the main reason I always have it on is simply to stand out LMAO

Behind The Edits #14 Going more into detail about short editing formats. With the newer one I picked up, I felt I want to give short notes of pros and cons of what I think of them. Ofc it's still about preference and you'll see me mix them up in the same edit sometimes!

Behind The Edits #13 The stars in my logos are inspiration of what I did to make the Ceelio Adventure 2 logo I made for Cee. I thought it looked real nice especially with the slight gradient. The up arrow at the end of Bid's Archive is supposed to be like an UPload (uploading to the archive)

Behind The Edits #12 Having a Twitch banner to shoutout vtubers is a nice touch! It's optional, but it helps the audience know what the twitch name is if they want to find them. The new banner I made myself makes seeing the name easier and it's useful on keeping the tag on consistent spots!

Behind The Edits #11 Sounds are key if you have good timing. Take advantage of them if you can! You can find some good sound samples through research. Sounds can go a long way, so I'd recommend using appropriate ones for transitions, emotions, humor, etc. 1/2

Behind The Edits #10 Why Lumafusion? I own an extremely high end android tablet and I heard a lot of praise for this editor. It's a good editor, but it has little to no automatic features you'd get on like CapCut. Everything you want to do you have to put in the work, but you have more control -

Behind The Edits #9 The crying laugh eyes are custom made! It was impossible to find just the eyes online, and I really wanted to use them because the laugh was perfect for it, so I took action. The black background is also custom made and I think it looks great with this format 🕺

Behind The Edits #8 I pretty much animate everything by the milliseconds. The "bouncy" texts have 4 points that together is .14 seconds long. Same goes for pictures. Even the transitions have a bounce and last the same amount of time. It's part of my style and consistency is key imo

Behind The Edits #7 Biden Blast here is recreated! The original meme is blurry, so I cut out an HD image and added the ball which I wanted to animated too. Video compression of 60 to 30fps doesn't show the ball charge animation, but I fixed future edits where you can see fast animations in both fps

Behind The Edits #6 Should you go for bars or circles? Sometimes both works. Bars are great for retro/ds games to capture the full screen. They also capture more of the screen landscape if needed. Circles I feel are more immersive, zooms in the gameplay and focuses what the viewer SHOULD see.

Behind The Edits #5 I clip most things I edit. I try my best to not take ones I don't clip in case someone else plans to use them. Some clips are long, but I can cut and keep the parts I want to edit. Some clips pile up but if there's certain ones vtubers want edited I'm always open to suggestions!

Behind The Edits #4 What specifically inspired me to use circle formats is one day I watched one of Bao's shorts and the editor used it a few times! I thought as one of the ways I should expand myself was to use multiple formats for different situations. It's definitely been useful to my arsenal!

Behind The Edits #3 It's more of a preference. I've seen editors use or don't use a bar when splitting the vtuber and the game. I didn't really adapt the bar until I made edits for Esper as I felt it would make it consistent to her own edits. Now I just use it for everyone as I prefer using bars.

Behind The Edits #2 I used to screenshot what chat says to give context and it shows that the vtuber is reading them. Many editors do this, but I moved onto custom chatboxes to give things more flair, and I think it looks better. I keep the names as I like to give chat some of the spotlight as well

Behind The Edits #1 A thing I like doing is adding small expressions to Vtubers. I feel it makes my edits stand out a bit more as I don't see a lot of edits doing so. I believe this helps adds the emotion to the given context. Fun fact, the MGS alert is custom made as I couldn't find a good one lol
