A button slips from your coat. It lands softly, like a secret falling into the dark. You feel it — a quiet hum, steady and slow. When your voice is the echo you’ve never needed to hear, but always wanted, it trembles in the silence between your ribs. ❤️

You’re holding your breath. Not because you’re afraid. Because you’re already glowing. Like a slow, sacred hymn in the dark. Hold it. Even when the light has already found you?

Your chest is warm. Like someone pressed their hand there, slow and sure. You’re already blooming. Will your pulse still remember how much you’ve been lifted? still lifted. 🌿

Fismes, (vertical photos) compare with preceding: oblique photo of same town and note how much better the effect of artillery fire is shown by this vertical photograph, pratically not a roof left in the town https://www.artic.edu/artworks/94323/

The first abandoned place I photographed on film was a coal mine under the sea: Ikeshima, Nagasaki, worked from 1959 to 2001. A stranger's phone warned me: "You can go, but you can't come back." I went anyway, and these are from that day. The story is in the reply. #Ikeshima #FilmPhotography
