Fantastic to lose 45 minutes in the company of the North Hill Snow Bunting this afternoon. A lovely bird which was busy feeding around the summit the whole time. I just sat and watched. Cheers to @brianstretch.bsky.social #MalvernHills #WorcsBirds
Stone-curlew still south end of Ryall Court Pits late afternoon #WorcsBirds
With a brisk north-westerly wind continuing for a second day I was hopeful of finding a Snow Bunting on the #MalvernHills. Et voil脿! This beauty was favouring the summit of North Hill. Also my first Bramblings, Redwings, Redpolls & Siskins of the autumn through Happy Valley. #WorcsBirds
Two Wheatear on North Hill #MalvernHills late this afternoon; the bird present on Sunday remains and has been joined by a paler individual. #WorcsBirds
2 of the 3 Whoopers #UptonWarren Moors pool this morning. Harassed by Mute Swans initially but eventually settled after flying a few tines. #WorcsBirds
Revisited the long-staying Stone-curlew at Ryall Court Pits on Sunday #WorcsBirds
Stone Curlew still present this evening (1800) at Ryall Pits Worcs. #worcsbirds #ukbirding
A Knot (presumed juv) dropped in at #uptonwarren Flashes this morning. A rare bird here these days - only the 3rd I've seen in 22 years of visiting the reserve. 2 Green Sands, 6 Curlew & 3 Stonechat were other highlights, and an Avocet was reported for a 2nd day at the Moors Pool. #WorcsBirds
The Eurasian Stone-curlew still at Ryall Court Pits, Upton-upon-Severn this morning. Distant views but thanks to the power of a Nikon P1000 and some AI sharpening, the photographic results were better! Also 11 Golden Plover over, Dunlin, Green Sandpiper & Pintail. #WorcsBirds
This Wheatear in Chat Valley, North Hill #MalvernHills this morning was a new arrival. #WorcsBirds
Ring-necked Parakeet at Pitmaston Park, St John's, Worcester this evening. Heard it calling distantly while visiting my parents, so we went around and there it was. Occasionally feeding on holm oak acorns. Still a scarce bird in the city. #WorcsBirds
Garganey at Grimley CLP this week #WorcsBirds
My best photos of the Ryall Court Pits Stone-curlew from this morning #Worcsbirds
North Hill, #MalvernHills this morning. 3 Wheatear near the summit on the SE side. 5 Green Woodpecker. 6 Jay. 14 House Martin feeding & drifting south. 15+ Chiffchaff. 12 Stonechat. 30+ Meadow Pipit. #WorcsBirds
Stone-curlew still at Ryall Court Pits, Upton upon Severn. Great find by @andywarr.bsky.social #Worcsbirds
Eurasian Sparrowhawk in the garden yesterday morning in Bewdley, apparently defecating like this is called slicing, I didn鈥檛 know that #WorcsBirds #birds #BirdsSeenIn2026
Two Cattle Egrets (adult & juvenile) at Powick Wetland briefly this afternoon were my first for the site. Also of note were a pair of Stonechat along the west hedge. #WorcsBirds
A single Wheatear remained on North Hill #MalvernHills early this morning. A couple of Swallows and a few House Martins heading south were the only signs of any movement. #WorcsBirds
A great start to the day with my third self found Worcestershire Ring-necked Duck this morning at Clifton Pits. Presumably a returning drake. Hopefully he will stick around and start looking a bit more dapper. #WorcsBirds
Garganey at Grimley CLP this evening, showing very well in some late sunshine, even called #WorcsBirds
