Trapped on the couch because Taki has settled into her favorite spot - wedged on the front edge of the cushion in front of my crossed legs. She doesn’t want to be ON a lap, just lap-adjacent.

Zara 🏳️🌈 I cannot let my vigilance drop for a second lest the cat think she’s finally going to reach the Christmas tree to indulge in her oral fixation on crinkly plastic. This lil sneaky opportunist has tried reaching & jumping multiple times, to no avail. Sorry, Taki~
Zara 🏳️🌈 Dagger’s still taking it easy so today has been more doting on her (her luxating patella is still acting up but she’s okay to walk and isn’t limping as much, but I can tell she’s not at Maximum Chaos) Not as productive the past couple of days as I’d have liked but worth it to take care of doggo 💙
Zara 🏳️🌈 Someone happily ran around in the rain & tracked in half a mud puddle and I’ll clean it all up without complaint because look at her how could I NOT 😭

PoV enjoying a nice relaxing time on the couch & the dog decrees it’s cuddles o’clock by jumping up to stand on your chest (after some flailing paws and wriggles, she has decided to settle happily & I am trapped here for the foreseeable future; the cat is aiding & abetting)

I continue to semi-hiatus but am sketching out some fun DA fanart things I wanna get through before Veilguard is out in two weeks (JUST TWO WEEKS!!! AAAA!!!) in the interim, pls have cuddlebuddy pics of Dagger & Taki eagerly inviting bellyrubs
Zara 🏳️🌈 One of the hardest things to remember is how integral rest is, and I’ve spent today mostly doing that. Tons of cool things in motion personally & professionally over the past several months have been more DOING than resting & pacing myself where I can has been a challenge, but very worthwhile.
Zara 🏳️🌈 If one must be awkwardly awoken from a nice Sunday mid-afternoon nap, floofy toebeans dangling overhead are among the most pleasant reasons
Zara 🏳️🌈 Lazy start before I get into a lot of the things I want to get done today. It’s a chilly, rainy Sunday that’s perfect for cuddles, and both critters immediately got into cahoots to trap me on the couch. (bonus: you can see Dagger’s lil belly nubbin from her unique (& safe!) umbilical hernia)

Zara 🏳️🌈 Pls look at this happy Dagger from this weekend; she loves going on adventures but THIS was her face when she recognized we were at the dog park 😭 I’m so proud of how much she’s grown in working through being a little reactive with bigger dogs. Now she happily plays with HUGE doggos without issue!
Zara 🏳️🌈 Having a much better day (& evening) tonight; had a nice long visit to the off-leash dog park & Dagger did so well 🥺 it was her first time fully off-leash & around so many lorg doggos; we’ve worked since I adopted her on being keyed up around large dogs & she was entirely chill today 💙

Went to last day of the local farmers market this year & it was so nice out & mostly-uncrowded; after making my rounds of purchases, I came back with Dagger for her first time! She sniffed MANY butts & got a stylish new bandanna (then promptly fell asleep on short ride home 😂)
