Maine in early October is pretty magical. Bar Harbor & Acadia did not disappoint. My wife & I: biked thru Acadia, hiked to/from the summit of Cadillac Mtn (highest pt on east coast), kayaked in the ocean past numerous seals, caught sunrises & sunsets, & ate our fill of lobster.
