Georgia Native Plant Society Smooth blue aster (Symphyotrichum laeve) has smooth leaves (not rough like many blue asters). It has a small native range in NW Georgia but is often sold at native plant sales. It works well in containers where it can grow 2-3 feet tall.

Flower Power This phrase from the 70’s is a reminder of the power grass roots efforts. Saw a report recently that pollinators are making a comeback due to the number of people who planted pollinator gardens & native species. #flower #grassroots #pollinators #nativeplants #gouache #painting #art
Hey Cordeiro White Snakeroot is a native plant to New England that pollinators love munching mammals usu won’t eat because it’s toxic. Grows and self-seeds vigorously #ColoraDay #GreenSat #EastCoastKin #bloomscrolling #flowers #snakeroot

In a small wildflower patch that was scythed and roughly-mown several weeks ago we spied something blue...a Meadow Cranesbill plant has opened one flower, with 2 more buds about to open.
DaniSue An Oak Tree a Day Just starting out, but with big hopes and big plans this newly sprouted valley oak (Quercus lobata) may one day rival its brethren or maybe carry on the tradition of what makes our natural areas so special. California #nativePlants #nature. 805ers, stay alert, ICE is rampant‼️
