🌻 squid 🌻 I finally finished a thing! I sketched the idea over a year ago to test out a mosaic brush, and I've been VERY slowly chipping away at it since #art #dnd #tas
Tomes & Sons
by @squiggsquigg.bsky.social
A collection of art and musings for our Tomes & Sons dnd campaign set in the magical world of Mundari. Featuring Bee (fire genasi Druid), Jeremy (elf wizard), Oriel (eladrin cleric), Sandy (tortle monk / ranger), and Tomes (halfling rogue).

I made a postcard for one of our dnd guests that isn't with us right now (little bit of photo bashing and drawing over it) and we're gonna mail it to him irl. We really miss having a voice of reason around 🥲 #dnd #TomesAndSons
🌻 squid 🌻 Portrait of Giddeon, another of Bee's dads and head of the military at the Volcano. He in under so much pressure and desperately needs a break, but alas the war doesn't allow vacations. Loves his family more than anything, even if they don't always take priority. #art #oc #dnd
🌻 squid 🌻 Art of my boy Ellison! He's the most impulsive of Bee's dads and is present for 99% of the shenanigans Bee gets in trouble for. Absolute enabler, hot shot warrior, and shameless flirt, he's impossible not to love! #art #dnd #tas
🌻 squid 🌻 It's been too long since I drew them smoochin 🥲 #art #dnd #doodle

Did some silly redraws today just to be self indulgent #art #doodle #dnd #redraw
🌻 squid 🌻 One more from last session, because SO much happened. I love this sloppy drunk prince Kostas so much #art #dnd #doodle #TomesAndSons
🌻 squid 🌻 Ok not how it actually went, but it was funnier to tie in some above the table jokes 😂 we’re having SUCH a GOOD time don’t worry about it no trauma here at all #art #dnd #comic
🌻 squid 🌻 We can totallyyyy be trusted at the royal wedding (that we’re trying to put a stop to) #art #doodle #dnd #oc
🌻 squid 🌻 You KNOW I had to draw some Jeremy fits as well. Found lots of fun references lately and wanted to draw some outfits from prior to meeting the party #art #oc #dnd

Working on finalizing some character designs with a few little poses - these are Bee’s dads who are all various high ranking members of the military #art #dnd #oc
🌻 squid 🌻 22” x 30”, gouache on paper If you know anything about Jeremy you might be thinking it’s out of character and he’s being too fancy and nice HOWEVER! The two of them are actually making fun of the uppity people at the formal event while they get a breather outside away from it all #art #oc #dnd

🌻 squid 🌻 Doodle from last session, love how much everyone humors my shenanigans 😄 #art #oc #dnd

I can finally share our new dnd minis for arc 3 where we’re at the beach!! Also bonus formalwear just in case we ever get invited to a ball 🥺👉👈 #art #oc #dnd

I’ve been feeling so uninspired with my art lately, so just making lots of doodles and thumbnailing ideas for whenever I’m finally back in the mood for it #art #rkgk #dnd #oc

Despite how it may seem, our dnd heist went mostly to plan!! We found what we were looking for (with only minor injuries) and team distraction did…maybe too good of a job. #art #dnd #ttrpg #doodles

Life has been so busy once again, so I’ve just been doodling beebear when I get the chance, insp by things we’re watching and such #art #doodle
🌻 squid 🌻 Shelter Kind of lost steam on this one so I might render a bit more later, but so glad to finally have drawn it! I’ve had this idea for sooo long I finally have the skill to execute it 🥰 #art #oc #characterart #dnd
🌻 squid 🌻 Power and Control Bit of an AU / what-if piece where Bee gives up his agency in exchange for the power to protect his people. Jeremy more than happily obliges, but uses their combined strength to enact his own plans instead. #art #oc #dnd
🌻 squid 🌻 We’re about to move on to the next arc of our dnd campaign, so I’ve been thinking back on old sessions like when we got a really cool lighthouse tour and then immediately jumped off of it out into* the water * we did NOT jump far enough #art #ocart #dndart
🌻 squid 🌻 On to the next adventure We’re just traveling in dnd right now, but last time Bee came this way it was alone, and now they’re surrounded by friends and it’s making me emotional 🥺 #art #oc #dnd
🌻 squid 🌻 The wizard’s study Just a quick illustration from a scene in the fic I’m writing, I love a moody Jeremy so much #art #oc #ocart #dndart

Got a bit carried away practicing painting fabrics, but I love how these turned out #art #oc #ocart #digitalart #dndart

[2023] Assorted silly doodles I did throughout last year of Bee, Jeremy, and Oriel (our eladrin cleric) #art #oc #dnd #doodle

Yipee yay I’m 30 now 🥰 Anyway have some BeeBear portraits I just finished up #art #oc
🌻 squid 🌻 🌻 squid 🌻 The Source of Corruption Just noodling around today, trying to figure out a stylized way of drawing some clouds for another piece I’m working on, but I love how this turned out #art #oc #dndart
🌻 squid 🌻 In the shadow of the peaks This is not really how the area looks in canon, but I do what I want. Things are starting to get serious in the campaign, so I’ve been thinking back to the more chill moments we’ve had leading up to now. #art #oc #dndart
🌻 squid 🌻 Whatever the Future Holds I like this one a lot, because it gives the impression that Bee is like a deer being hunted, when in reality… #art #oc #dndart
🌻 squid 🌻 Working on some fire studies / trying to figure out how to do more realistic fire genasi “hair” #art #oc #dndart
🌻 squid 🌻 Don’t Look to Closely Bee very much masks their pain behind a friendly, loud, and cheerful front. It’s easy to meet them and think that everything is fine and they are doing well, and that’s exactly what they want. #art #oc #dndart

BeeBear date night pt 2, sorry but I drew so many off these 😅 #art #oc

BeeBear date night. I’ve been drawing too much serious art and needed a refresh 😌 Mostly an excuse to do some redraws or get out some silly ideas. Pt 1. #art #oc
🌻 squid 🌻 I really loved watching Dungeon Meshi and drew this when sooo much great fanart was being made. But why should Falin have all the fun? I’m always looking for an opportunity to monsterify Bee #art #oc #dndart
