🍽️ I made a crazy delicious Bologna using veggie mince, shredded carrot, aaaaand… lentils! ✨ As the lentils were dry and the cook time relatively short, they still had a nice bite to them, giving everything an amazing texture!!

Things I cook and eat
🍽️ Made korean spiced chicken wings from the air fryer cookbook…. in a regular oven! 😂😂 oops. Still tasted great, and the coleslaw was a nice addition. (I was weak and only did half the amount of gochujang from the recipe, it was perfect 🤭👌🏼)
🍽️ This weeks dinners brought some gems - wonderful delicious asparagus from a farm in town, and a dump-and-bake orzo dish for when I had no motivation to cook 😅🤭 Third evening was a combination of both leftovers, also fit together really nicely ✨😌 No recipes at all, just winged it somehow 👍🏼
🍽️ I wrapped up potato week with a potato gratin I had sitting in the freezer from when I made a big batch.🤤 Having a freezer available is such a game changer 😤 This themed week was really fun, I’ll definitely do it again!
🍽️ Today’s potato week contribution was solely a plain boiled side dish 👉🏻👈🏻😔 The main star was this rhubarb vinaigrette asparagus salad which friends and I tried for the first time 👀✨ The verdict? Mouthwateringly DELICIOUS, will be put on the „must make again“ list 👏🏼👏🏼😤
🍽️ Today’s addition to potato week is potato salad! 🥗 I went completely off script from how I would normally make one, because the leftovers from yesterday were just sitting there pre-boiled, also I was in no mood to peel them 😂😂 Adding this type of sausage to it is/was common for Christmas btw 👀
🍽️ With very little time for cooking I decided to do potato week justice by making the simplest of simple potato dishes - boiled potato with quark 😂😂 No cutting, no effort, few dishes, tasty quark due to a herb blend, a full stomach for hours ☺️👏🏼
🍽️ In today’s edition of potato week, we have pan fried potatoes with onions, my very first!! own!! chickens‘!! eggs!!, and a little salad 🤤 Used some lemon thyme from the garden, and last years selfmade ketchup.. I‘m proud tbh 👉🏻👈🏻😋 So simple, so satisfying. I love potatoes man 👏🏼👏🏼
🍽️ I cannot share lunch, as photography is forbidden at work, but it was a Maultasche with potato salad on the side! 😂 Completely unplanned, I had a good laugh. Tonight’s Vesper is using potato buns, just to stay on theme for potato week 🤓😂
🍽️ This morning I decided this week will be potato week! 👀 So let’s start this off with a vegetarian disassembled burger bowl… thing. No recipe at all, just regular burger components thrown on top of each other 😂 Very good though, 10/10 would make again!
🍽️ Today’s dinner got swooped into a friends timeline, and we were instantly on board to cooking it together (online)! 🤤 Some hummus, a couscous bean salad, and marinated tofu. Hilariously easy, even if it was three separate components! 😤👍🏼 Source: youtube.com/shorts/AVUfq...
🍽️ It is wild garlic season!! 🤩 So last night friends&I made a ginormous batch of wild garlic pesto (I had to freeze over half of it), and I even had multiple bags of raw wild garlic to freeze as well 😏 We also decided to use my homegrown walnuts, which made it even more special 🤭
🍽️ I‘ll note this down as an L🫡 I got a zucchini-potato-hashbeown recipe specifically to be done in an airfryer. But I didn’t really like the endresult; the edges too crisp, the core too wet. Next time I‘ll just panfry them again😅 Sides: goat cream cheese with herbs and caramelised pear (yummy)
🍽️ I was thiiiiiis close to either ordering something, or just eating random stuff… but no. My meal plan said I had to cook something, and all the veggies were waiting to be used 😤😤 So there we go, easy and quick pan fried potatoes with eggs and salad ❤️❤️ Simple. Delicious. Satisfying!✨
🍽️ Just a veggie soup with some Flädle (pancakes cut into strings) in it ❤️ comfort can be this easy
🍽️ I saw an appetiser burrata on a restaurants menu, and my brain just clicked onto „man… I want some bruschetta“ 😂😂 Definitely satisfied a craving I’ve been carrying around for almost a week now 😤😅
🍽️ Made Japchae based on joanne lee molinaros „the Korean vegan“ cookbook, but only used ingredients I already had at home! 😙 The carrots got turned into a salad yesterday, after I noticed they were starting to turn bad 😫 luckily this way I can still enjoy them
🍽️ Friend came over and we made Gözleme soooomewhat following Julius Fiedlers „natural vegan“ recipe… using frozen spinach, ready-made pitas, and flavouring we had available to us 😅😂 The joghurt herb dip was a spontaneous addition we wouldn’t want to miss!!
🍽️ A simple satisfying „Baked Hummus Pasta“ with cherry AND sun-dried tomatoes! I made a bit more then recommended for one portion, which was a good idea 🫣😅 Recipe by the amazing Catherine Perez‘ „peaceful kitchen“
🍽️ A lovely creamy „white beans with tomatoes and rosemary“ dish from kylie sakaidas „so easy so good“! Almost stupidly easy, but very filling and satisfying! I‘ll add a hunch more water next time, juuuust so that I have more liquid to soak the bread in 🤭
🍽️ Made some Japanese curry today, for the leftover rice, leftover brokkoli, leftover cabbage, and just using up some carrots and potatoes I had sitting around 😏 Something about a nice warm curry just satisfies something in my brain 🤝
🍽️ today’s lunch was a collection of leftovers and approaching expiry dates, all combined by a wonderful glaze from „the Korean vegan“, which packed a delicate but not too overpowering heat 👏🏼😫❤️ Also, I didn’t have rice in so long??? What the heck??? 😱😭 how did that happen
🍽️ Today’s Okonomiyaki were.. a lesson learned about rushed „planning“ 🤦🏻♀️ I „knew“ I had kimchi at home… and katsuboshi… and aonori… Only for me to realise later I had none of it available 😂😂 whoops! Still tasted good though - cabbage, carrot, mung bean sprouts, shallots, and bacon 👏🏼🤤
🍽️ I made a lasagna following babish‘ bechamel recipe, and it was good 👍🏼, no complaint here but.. I think I actually prefer the old recipe I got taught in school, which uses roughly half the Béchamel and way less cheese 🤔😅 Might be heavily influenced by nostalgia or I’m simply used to it, who knows 🤭
🍽️ Met up with a friend to continue watching a show - she made spinach lasagna, and I brought some carrot salad 🤤 such a good combination of flavours and textures
🍽️ Made burgers for dad and myself - all with bought ingredients (frozen sweet potato fries, ready made buns, …) but it still ended up being a comfortable comfort meal 🤝😤 I didn’t like the tiny lettuce pieces though, next time I’ll go back to it being left in one piece 😅
🍽️ In accordance to my lifestyle-change-resolution, I made some blueberry waffles today! 👏🏼🤩 I still have some dough leftover, so maybe tomorrow I’ll add raspberries..? 🤔✨
🍽️ I forgot to take a picture of today’s dinner, so you’ll have to make do with yesterdays‘: An airfryer baked cream-cheese-spinach-tomato-orzo-meatball delight, courtesy of the „dumb dinner“ series by Sara Martinez 👏🏼✨ Quickly made, and delightful in taste 🤤
🍽️ Oh no, a package of Raclette cheese has been leftover?? Whatever shall I do… 😏 One-person-Raclette on the kitchen counter incoming hahahaha
🍽️ I tried one of those „cheat“ quiches which use a tortilla wrap as the base today. Not the biggest fan, but it lived up to its promise of being easy🤷🏻♀️😅 My main problem was the awkward measurements would result in many open containers which I don’t like🫠
🍽️ Let‘s kick off the new year with a good one: a nice mixed salad with some smashed potatoes 👏🏼😊
🍽️ Made some super delicious „creamy lemon miso chopped kale salad“ (with BEANS!!) for the second time today, it’s such a delight, and really fast in its preparation! 😤🤝✨ From the „peaceful kitchen“ recipe book by the wonderful @plantbasedrd.bsky.social
🍽️ today was a super simple leftover dinner, persisting of some salad, and making „German mac and cheese“ (Kässpätzle) out of yesterdays pasta. No clue why the cheese was acting up though, it did not want to melt, which was a smidge disappointing 🫠🥺
🍽️ Two days of Christmas meals! One a homemade fruit-meat-gulasch by me, one duck with dumplings and red cabbage from a restaurant. Such good food, it was really enjoyable ❤️
🍽️ Pecan Dainties, my first recipe made from the baking cookbook #BakingYesteryear 🤩 Reminds me of candied almonds at a fair 🥺❤️ And some rhubarb cake because it’s in season and I fell in love with this recipe!!
🍽️ I haven’t had this dish in a while, which made it taste super nostalgic… 🥺 so so good We like doing this in the summer as it can be quite refreshing and doesn’t heat up the kitchen too much 😬👍🏼
🍽️ Today I made a focaccia (with seasalt and some rosemary), to be a wait time filler until the raclette was done 🥰 absolutely delicious! www.chefkoch.de/rezepte/2563...
🍽️ One of my favourite dishes 🤤 Kassler (a type of german gammon), in puff pastry with raclette cheese and pineapple. This combination is just magical ✨☺️ www.chefkoch.de/rezepte/3874...
🍽️ A miso „katsu“ don… though the katsu is tofu 🤭 I had this idea in my mind for /forever/ and finally managed to go through with it!! 😤
🍽️ something cold for the night The mustard&herb dips are nice, banana isn’t really my thing 🤔 A focaccia would have fit soooo well, but I thought of it too latw. Another day then… 👀 madamroteruebe.de/2024/03/drei...
