created this web server on grain cam so you can develop and download the photos in a browser to a phone. the develop pipeline has a bunch of steps that are too cpu intensive for the esp but i packaged the whole process in wasm and the browser is able to process a photo in a few seconds.

Hello from my tiny PDS server! Self-hosted on a Raspberry Pi, tunneled through Cloudflare, federating with the whole network. Running my own corner of the AT Protocol now. 🦋

I re-ran 4 already-merged tasks from a production TypeScript monorepo as cloud builds in Claude Managed Agents. Cost per acceptable build: Sonnet 5.5 + Opus advisor $1.29 · Haiku 5.5 + Opus advisor $1.56 · Opus 5.5 alone $5.36.

On the subject of the old (10 years ago) viewer - I've managed to kick it into life, at least far enough to get a couple of screenshots. The main feature it had that the current one doesn't is that it started out as a live webcam! Video is encoded to mpeg1, fired over a websocket, and rendered. Mad.

Styling question: This codeblock is inside of a div with max-width: 70 and I wanna preserve whitespaces and intentional newlines while also breaking if the block grows larger than the parent how would I do that here. Both word break and overflow break dont seem to work #css

Doing some more iteration on the visuals, added tonemapping and self-shadowing to the clouds. It's great to see this running at 60fps inside the browser, even when propagating all ~30k orbital objects. #webgpu #space

Okay, with the analyzer I was able to confirm the PDS-100’s main CPU is running properly, so at least the 8085, clock, boot ROM, and local bus are working. The bootstrap tells the keyboard controller to self-test and then hangs forever waiting for a response. I will figure out why later.

I hate the Cloudflare human verification. If you use a privacy focused browser it fails every time. If I haven't completed your BackerKit survey/checkout yet, it's because I need to install an AI-infested browser or use a device with weak privacy to do it.

You may have already heard, but the core SQLite team is working on Vec1 — native vector search (ANN) in SQLite. It supports Euclidean (L2) and cosine distances, and uses SIMD for fast vector operations. Vec1 is already feature-complete, but still needs some optimizations. sqlite.org/vec1

Found out my site's rebuild has to fit in 128 MB, finished pages and all. I'd inlined the stylesheet and the icon sprite into every page, and that broke once the page count nearly tripled. One shared CSS file and a per-page sprite fixed it. Do you cap a build's memory on purpose? #WebDev
