Landguard this morning got me a patch tick in the form of a Bonxie going north also a bit of Vismig which included 3 Wood Lark a Ring Ouzel present that i didn't see also a Mediterranean Stick Insect was found probably the offspring of some pet ones kept by our seasonal warden in 2020

Re-Watching The Deadly Mantis (1959)! I wonder how many harmless bugs get mutated and simply get to wander around their short lives, and nobody really has a concern? A giant ladybug would not cause people to run in terror, a huge stick bug, a humongous Snail? Unless the friendly bugs don't mutate?

Our interest in leaves & trees has grown after we investigated the fascinating “leaf bug” (katydid), and as we find more interesting colours and shapes out on the yard. After reading Leaf Man today, students asked to create leaf creatures, too. Students are invited to bring found leaves next week.
