Useful tips and tricks in using Bluesky
If you go to Settings > Content and Media > Following Feed preferences, you can set whether you want to see replies, reposts, or quote posts in your home timeline. You can also sparkle it with posts from the feeds you follow, if you feel it could use some sparkling.
Speaking of accessibility, did you know you can add closed captions to thevideos you post? 1/2 (click/tap "cc" icon to activate)
Btw, when writing a post you can set who can interact with it - reply or quote. Note that you can change this setting *after* the post had been made and got replies. Essentially you can lock your thread if you want.

If you want to keep up to date with National Weather Service alerts for your area - search Bluesky for "nws-bot", and from the "People" tag select and follow bot for your area.
If your post contains a long text, and adding an URL will set you over the character limit: add the URL, and once the preview appears below the text - you can remove the URL. You're back below the character limit, and your link is still there in the preview.
