Matt Tucker Artworks Final glaze night for Saturday’s Mother’s Day Artisan Faire @agricolefarmstop in #chelseami ! Come from 10-2 for some great local art! Matt Tucker Artworks You know it’s truly spring when #grapehyacinth season begins☀️🪻😀 Changing my art with the seasons is fun and also helps keep my work small batch and unique. Here’s to pops of spring color bringing pops of hope…✌️🌈✊ #ceramics #pottery #pottersofbluesky #ceramicmugs #natureart #slabpottery #handbuilt
Matt Tucker Artworks If you’ve been following along you saw my under/glazing process. Here’s the finished piece! Thank you for your interest😁 Hope you’re finding some joy this week to help you keep up the fight against fascism✌️✊ #slabpottery #ceramics #pottery #pottersofbluesky #pottersofflashes #pines #ceramicdish
Matt Tucker Artworks For this final part 3 video I’m brushing my “stem mix” underglaze in the imprints. Then I use a clear glaze on top. That part is boring so no video for that😁 Please call your rep to demand they oppose HR 22 SAVE Act (voter suppression)! #pottersofbluesky #art #artivism #resist #ceramics #pottery
Matt Tucker Artworks Part 2 is when the imprint begins coming back to life! Stay tuned for a couple more installments since the process takes much longer than the 1min video Flashes allows. #ceramics #ceramicglazing #wip #underglaze #handbuiltpottery #slabbuilt #pottersofbluesky #pottery #natureartist #pine #potter
Matt Tucker Artworks I enjoy various parts of each of the ceramic processes. My favorite part of the glazing process is the underglazing of my nature imprint pieces. It’s very satisfying to bring the imprints to life. I’m limited to 1min on these videos so this is part one. Stay tuned… #natureart #pottersofbluesky #clay
Matt Tucker Artworks As a #smallbatchpotter with a full time public educator job and a farmstead refuge to manage, I don’t have time to post much. When I’m in my studio I focus on making art, not vids or pics. I do try to post a few within each stage of the #pottery process. Onto the glazing stage… ✌️✊ #pottersofbluesky
Matt Tucker Artworks Commissioned platters in the drying process! Each week our democracy is bombarded, so I hope this week you’re able to fight from whatever fronts you’re able as well as finding balance and joy. In solidarity with you against fascism✌️🌈✊ #pottersofbluesky #artivism #ceramics #pottery #slabbuilt
Matt Tucker Artworks My #pine imprint #mugs have always been one of my favorites to make and also my best selling from my nature imprint line. I never get tired of how satisfying they are to make….or look at😃 #ceramicmugs #natureartist #pottersofbluesky #ceramics #pottery #coffeemugs #handbuiltmugs #handbuiltpottery

Matt Tucker Artworks Finding balance through the beauty and peace in nature is essential for me. Here’s a new inlay design in my #rusticrainbow line from my most recent firing. Speaking of fire, how about this sunset over our wetlands☀️🔥🌈 #mugshotmonday #handbuiltmug #ceramicmugs #mugs #pottersofbluesky #pottery #potter
Matt Tucker Artworks Sometimes the raw, organic beauty of clay is best shown unglazed. #redstoneware #redclay #smallbatchpotter #handbuilttumbler #ceramictumbler #tumblers #pottersofbluesky #pottersofflashes #handbuiltpottery #slabceramics #michiganpotter
Matt Tucker Artworks Hello Flashes☺️I’m so happy you’re here! I truly hope you/we can provide the world with a legit alternative to Insta. Here’s a recent shot of the pole barn I recently finished restoring into my pottery studio✌️💜✊ #smallbatchpotter #ceramicartist #michiganpotter #pottersofflashes #pottersofbluesky
Joyce Chin I just finished a 3-Day workshop with José Mariscal at San Jose’s Higher Fire JTown Clay. What a whirlwind. I love learning about other potter’s techniques. We were asked to bring bisqueware to the workshop to glaze in José’s crystalline glazes. #pottersofbluesky
Joyce Chin PORCELAIN DUMPLING RATTLE hand-folded porcelain clay with little porcelain bits inside “Why are you screaming?” Because it’s hilarious! Too bad I couldn’t attach the video of me shaking it. Different post, I guess. 😅 #shakerattleandroll #pottersofbluesky #pottery #ceramics #clayplay
Joyce Chin Explorations in letting go. A new-to-me dark stoneware clay and a John Mino type glaze. I’m smitten and excited to continue down this path. #pottersofbluesky #glazechemistry #pottery #ceramics
Joyce Chin Say it with me: Black Laaaaaaaaahvah This small vase has been sitting in my studio for over a year, patiently waiting to be glazed. None of my existing glazes "felt right." Until this week when I have been experimenting with creating a black lava glaze. #pottersofbluesky #pottery #ceramics
Joyce Chin In my haste, I forgot to take photos of the 4 teabowls before mailing them. 🤦🏻♀️Thank goodness the gallery has great photographers. The online exhibit & sale is available thru April 10 www.charliecummingsgallery.com #CharlieCummingsGallery #SpringTeabowlExhibit #pottery #ceramics #PottersOfBluesky
Joyce Chin Honored for the invitation to participate in Charlie Cummings Gallery’s Spring Teabowls Exhibit. Please visit online to see these along with 150 other works celebrating the coming of Spring. www.charliecummingsgallery.com #charliecummingsgallery #ceramics #pottery #pottersofbluesky
Joyce Chin I’ve been pulled to continue making vessels. Containers to hold grief, sorrow, and maybe hope. This one feels like ancient Rome or Greece. #pottersofbluesky #pottery #ceramics #todaysmeditationwithclay
Joyce Chin My brother asked if I ever made a giant mug. I never shared the finished Alice in Wonderland mug and teapot in action. I’m quite amused by them. Are you? #pottersofbluesky #pottery #ceramics #aliceinwonderland
