#Tolkientober Day 11 - Mountains One does not simply walk into to Mordor... but if one is an Orc and a warg pup with a mission, one might try to climb there. Feat. my OCs Graznikh and Zuzhat scaling the Ephel Dúath roughly 10 leagues north of the not-yet-named-so Morgul valley. #orctober

Abigail's critique of Tolkien's chapter on the Uruk Hai highlights trenchant concepts in command culture, ethics in leadership, and 'mission command' (trusting subalterns to extrapolate from orders.) In the real world, 'good guys' sometimes fail at these things, but perform better when they don't.

“Hi, niche favour please. Youngest is finally old enough to watch Lord Of The Rings *BUT* we have to finish reading them together first (it’s been brilliant!) He wants to know if you can make a Ranger of Gondor in Lego? I said you could!” The Beacons Are Lit! 🔥 #CustomLego 🚨
