A collection of SFW sketches of different characters and ideas. Pencil, watercolor, gouache, digital and mixed media.
Markus Erdt I am back from 4 days at the games fair in Bologna, Italy. For Mancalamaro/ Iello I was signing the new King of Tokyo Godzilla game, drawing sketches as hand outs and just enjoying my first time in Italy. What a great time. #MEsketch #Godzilla #art
Markus Erdt Sketching a piece for mother's day. #MEsketch #digitalart #art #cute #children #love
Markus Erdt Markus Erdt Another dwarf based on the previous studies. #MEsketch #art #rpgcharacter #dnd
Markus Erdt Some Studies and line art practices. I wanted to make him more dwarf like in proportions. The first is more like a Lotr dwarf, the second like a Paul Bonner Dwarf. #MEsketch #art
Markus Erdt A study in the style of something I used to do more often: Brown paper, orange or brown base sketch, pencil over it and white pencil as a finish. #MEsketch I am trying to take some inspiration from Justin Gerard, while searching for me own approach.
Markus Erdt Whenever I find a brush setting that just feels right, I get easily exited. I am also getting back into daily sketching and studies. I love the drawings by Even Mehl Amundsen and want to improve my poses, flow and lines too. #MEsketch #clipstudio
Markus Erdt And some steps after the sketching phase. #MEart #MEsketch #art #digitalart #tradingcard #mtg #artprocess #csp
Markus Erdt And here some images from the process: The early roughs. #MEart #MEsketch #art #digitalart #artprocess
Markus Erdt A little WIP to show my process. This is the design I picked for my "Mind bender" Magic the gathering (fan art) card redesign. I don't have a lot of facial shots in my portfolio, so this fills that gap too. I used Clip studio to create a basic light reference. #MEsketch #mtg #wip #art
Markus Erdt Since my Mind bender card is so old, I went back to thumbnails and see what comes up. I want to keep the idea of the magical chain in some way though. Most with enslaved creatures around the sorceress. E is different as we see the face of a king being enslaved. But that might not be clear. #MEsketch
Markus Erdt Mozenrath is fun to draw. The Aladdin card is in the top left for comparison. #MEsketch #art #disney #lorcana #fanart
Markus Erdt The color sketch is looking good. This is going much better than the last one. #MEsketch #MEart #lorcana #disney
Markus Erdt Already looking a lot better. The hands and the background still give me some trouble. #MEsketch #disney #lorcana
Markus Erdt I want to redo the Queen La piece. Something in the perspective just didn't sit well with me. So here we go again. Aiming for a bit more dramatic angle. For some reason, I always struggle with legs. #Disney #MEsketch #Lorcana #art
Markus Erdt More Queen La sketches. I want to improve my shapes, lines and flow, making my poses more appealing. #MEsketch #disney #lorcana
Markus Erdt A grayscale sketch for Queen La. For some reason, angles like this where we look up a bit, give me trouble. I am still a bit concerned about the composition and how it all goes to the stone arc on the left. #art #disney #fanart #MEsketch
Markus Erdt Finally working on that Queen La- Lorcana fan art for my portfolio. #MEsketch #art #fanart #disney
Markus Erdt Markus Erdt Another Lower Decks sketch. I changed it into a more dynamic situation. #MEsketch #art #startrek #digitalart
Markus Erdt Another lower decks idea scribble, to post a WIP. Something about a drunk Mariner and an annoyed Boimler, keeping the Bathlet away from her. #MEsketch #digitalart #lowerdecks #startrek #art
Markus Erdt Markus Erdt Mixing a couple of things together. 3d pose as reference, some style tests, female figure and some other ideas. Not quite happy with it but ok for now. Mariner from Star Trek lower decks #MEsketch #art #digitalart #startrek
Markus Erdt I didn't think I could reuse this piece. Thanks for 1k followers! #MEsketch #art #1k
Markus Erdt A cute little sketch for the coming winter times. Stay warm you guys and snuggle up with a cup of hot choclate. #MEart #MEsketch
Markus Erdt Just another sketch. Likely the most lewd one that I have done yet. #MEsketch #furry #hot #sexy I don't think this needs an adult content marker. ^^
Markus Erdt 2x Raven (DC-Teen Titans) bunny sketches. Which one do you prefer? #MEsketch #furry
Markus Erdt A sketch made based on a vague memory of Helga from Disney's Atlantis. #MEsketch #furry #digitalart
Markus Erdt A really old traditional pencil sketch of my very first D&D character. Barosh the dwarfen fighter. I still like this drawing. #MEart #MEsketch #art #ttrpg
Markus Erdt Weasel, a halfling girl, she is Mink's little sister. She was a backup d&d character idea in case Mink goes down and I need a new one. I thought of her as a bard or rogue/bard perhaps. #Mesketch #art #dungeonsanddragons
