Current #gil theorycraft on Moogle Tomestone: Aphorism. Treasure Maps better for raw gil currently but if you don't want to invest in them: Green = Short/Longterm holds to sell DURING 7.45, 8.0+ and on. Yellow = Short/Longterm can sell throughout (7.45+)
Gil & Patch Tips

Arctinae advice column on their experiences with theorycrafting about gil in FFXIV.
It's been a week into 7.41 so let's see how this held up. Recap on #gil observations.
Patch 7.41 will be here on January 27th so here's a few things you can do to prepare and casually earn some #gil. Expect crafting & gathering food prices, gear, etc to go up a smidge from returning players buying it. You still have time to craft if you don't want to buy higher. 1/
Here's the #gil theorycraft on the Moogle Tomestone: Revelation event. This patch's winner for gil to tomestone ratio is the Wind-up Hobgoblin. While the price may decrease during the event they are theorized to bounce back. Since the list is short, other consideration for gil avenues.
I'd like to talk a moment about Mason's Abrasive. Yes, the new item that was released in 7.3. The item you needed 117 of to make full sets of Crested Gear. It has a current going rate of 17.8k+ #gil per whether you farm or buy it at CE. It will trend downward next week due to 7.35's release.
Messing around and wanted to see how fast we could get 29,700 quality. Best so far is in 1.05 minutes. That plus the 83 second final craft macro and you're looking at 180 tokens in 148 seconds. For the going rate of 600g/token that's ~729 #gil earned per second.
Used up 100x Big Bang (Sinus Ardorum) tickets and here were my results. A #gil /observation 🧵:
As promised, here is the #gil theorycraft on the Moogle Tomestone: Allegory event. These are all the marketboardable items available via tomestones and where they originally drop. This patch's winner for tomestone to gil ratio is the Gyr Abanian Plait hairstyle. #ffxiv
Assuming a 8/5/2025 patch release and considering a moogle tomestone ~4 weeks on normal rotation we could possibly see it around ~July 8/9th? Predicting them to announce it officially around July 2nd for a July 8/9th moogle tomestone release. Will prep my moogle tomestone #gil guide soon!
My buddy tells me secrets, #ffxiv. Like did you know that when you complete individual HQ class crafts (not mission turn ins) in Cosmic Exploration it counts for gaining Free Company Credits? It's true! The number of credits you get is based on the ilvl of the item crafted so it may vary, a #gil 🧵
It's about that time in the expansion that the now Endwalker Map Cloth loot prices are going up! Even if Ophios were good to farm for the minions at least cloth is returning more gil to your pocket. If you want, same thing will happen to DT! Stock up on some to cheap etc for future expansions. #gil
Condensed Solution going up again @ 13k+ this week and next week. I ran out of stock and am too lazy to restock so if you want to make some coin on your world you can try this! It's the orange scrip material for 7.1's DOH/DOL crafts. Stop selling after it hits <5k in the coming months. #ffxiv #gil
As 7.18 hits for #ffxiv tomorrow we'll be going into the next Moogle Treasure Trove "The Hunt for Phantasmagoria"! While there's already guides on where to get these items already I wanted to touch on items that could potentially generate #gil. There are 14 tradable items. A 🧵on them -
Updating for DT 🧵: "Moonward Rings" are Dawntrail's new "Ronkan Rings" from Endwalker. They can be bought @ Wilmetta (10.5,7.4) in Radz-at-Han (or J'lakshai in Old Sharlayan (11.8, 13.2)) for 25 Sack of Nuts. Useful for when you've nothing else to spend nuts on or need seals/credits. #ffxiv #gil
Always, ALWAYS, check prices to sell. PRICE THEM YOURSELF!! Don't know what to sell it as? Check the "compare prices" tab. #ffxiv #gil
Update on this for Dawntrail, still works. Around 1:10 estimation for gold piece to fish. Got 2000+ water clusters, 792 Sand, 104 gold pieces, and 104 Linen Canvas from a stack of 999 Eurhinosaur. While not the best or *fastest* way to make gil it's a reliable starter for newer players.
So people always talk about how to make gil but I want to throw out what some may not know on how to SAVE gil. One big thing we do every day is teleport, right? Who wants to pay 1500 gil to go to the moon? One item to help with that - which is available early on - is the Aetheryte Ticket! #ffxiv
Since the season is changing to winter - remember you can buy these housing items from a VENDOR and not just the market board. If it has "Shop Selling Price:" and a number with it, it can be bought from a NPC. Save your gil! #ffxiv
Not everyone remembers Doman Enclave but it's a nice 20k+ profit every week if you do! Good way to get rid of those demimateria or allagan pieces you earn from quests. Also opens up neat housing items. #ffxiv
