Every president has been invited to the White House Correspondents Association dinner for more than 100 years. President Calvin Coolidge was the first to attend. The event honors the work of the White House press corps and the First Amendment—not the president

THEN STOP COVERING HIM, White House Correspondents Association STOP LETTING HIM THREATEN FREE SPEECH - and you GO IN, TELL HIM TO HIS FACE THAT HE'S LYING TO YOU, AND THEN WALK OUT STAND UP FOR DEMOCRACY - THIS HAND-WRINGING IS JUST PASSIVE COLLABORATION

The White House Correspondents’ Association should’ve boycotted Trump when he revoked Jim Acosta’s press credentials They should’ve boycotted when he sued the NY Times They should’ve boycotted when he insulted all the female reporters Instead, they honored him by letting him speak at their dinner

The mainstream press did this to itself‼️🤬‼️ They allow themselves to be ridiculed, insulted, demonized, demeaned, and still come groveling. They invited him to sit in honor at the White House Correspondents’ TWICE and still he banns them‼️
