Subject to the usual caveats, an LNER InterCity 225 is due to run to Newcastle on Tuesday 17 December! It's the first run of an InterCity 225 north of York since May 2021. This is a one-off test, using new equipment installed on some of the Class 91s to assess forces in the overhead line equipment.
