so, TRON Legacy was a particular exception but soundtrack albums in general simply tend not to be fun for me to write about. they require a level of familiarity to the source material to do proper justice and usually aren't as interesting when taken as standalone albums out of context, a lot of them would just devolve into a review of a movie or game which I'm less interested in. this is also why I didn't review the TRON Ares soundtrack, I have absolutely no desire to see the movie and don't think I would have interesting enough thoughts on the album on its own to merit a video

BT's Fast And The Furious soundtrack could be an exception since not only have I seen the movie but I think the album uniquely works fine out of context, tho it and MAYBE Monster are the only two of BT's like 20-odd soundtrack albums that were even mildly interesting to talk about on their own outside of the usual expectation of soundtrack albums, also iirc the Fast And The Furious soundtrack album wasn't even on streaming or legally available to listen to anywhere except for buying an out of print CD at the time that I did my discography review on him, I think it only got uploaded to streaming fairly recently, so I just skipped over it out of feeling an Odds & Ends would be too much effort and not give me enough of substance. also while I do like that score quite a bit, it's not such a major favorite of mine compared to his actual albums where I felt like dropping everything and talking about it in a standalone video all these years after I finished my series on him (tho if someone were to Patreon request that score when I eventually reopen those, I wouldn't veto it)
