This Clavinet has an overdrive effect with a fast frequency sweep to make it “growl” (see little dancing shapes at the bottom). And it plays completely different roles in different sections! Later, it’s a low rhythm element.

love how nasty the second one sounds
Three different sounds are used for the bass line as the song evolves and gets more intense. From short hits to a longer, rounder shape. I hadn’t done this before, but I really like it. It subtly changes the “air” of the track with the different rumbles. Think I'll keep this one in the back pocket.
