Let's start with... Bavaria! The previous owner of this stockbook was kind enough to pencil in the issue dates for these stamps. We have a depiction of Ludwig III, the last King of Bayern.

It's rather common for stamps to depict leaders. These serve as a cool reminder of history, but I find them to be not as interesting outside of that merit. Here we have Sun Yat-sen, founder of the Republic of China, as well as King Ghazi of Iraq.
