an encircling path of greening limbs, an spiraled portal of shadow and light
neighborhood magnolias suddenly pink and infinite and deeply in the sky
a palest pink wash gently glows in pale dusky blue like a thought of color and light itself mirrored below somehow brighter still in still waters below the straight inked horizon line open to possibility
a winged December eve a flourish of a Titian sky, of mirrored gold along horizon silhouette, of above below as one in flux and beauty taking us in and flinging us out into it all at once
over the band of still marsh and mirrored just-wintering trees held in a blanket of waking cloud, the full moon hovers high in the pale blue and is itself again lingering whispering behind wisped tendrils below
the voluminous grey-blue curtain of sky and water opens to share the brightest horizon gold while a faint line of distant geese in flight floats over a sweet line of friends resting in calm waters crossed by yet another angled line of lines placed by carefully tending sanctuary hands
in the deepening cusp a light like lantern glows and mirrors fierce in pale air and water surrounding islands harboring birds and deeply nestled creatures and hope
in golden hour marsh waterways the heron basks in mirrored clouds beyond the scarlet tendrilled edge
this place, this seam of sumi ink, this light just there, both leaving and arriving, this shimmer of cloud of air and cloud of water, and in intimate ear the sound of birds
an intimate gathering of egrets in all their poses and postures in a stained glass world of mirrored loblolly pines aglow
three swans flying low together tandem finding home again in glowing painted sky and water
at the seam of days the silhouette trees and their mirrors form a seamless seam in which we’re held in fold of glow of sky of glow of water in hallowed and timeless time
October rain drops on the still water reverberating ripples widening circles over mirror trees and mosaic leaves all tremble and sing
energy of light burnishes the waving grasses gently clustered copper gold and shimmers across the low tide marsh full near and far with a mauve and sweeping layered sky
encompassing all for a lingering moment the silver gold light glows above the inked horizon and shimmers below in the welcoming rippling receiving marsh
October eve brings sky of pale blue lit with goldening clouds lit with deepening orange purple horizon behind silhouette loblollies where an eagle’s nest is newly empty awaiting again and ripples catch that golden shimmer and shadow reflection and grasses and ripples embroider it all, all the echoes of light of the call of herons and here and there a tern that came from so far to rest here, here
low tide and low sun paint necessary layers of infused grey and gold around that horizon line
only the gentlest pink of sky touches the Septembering marsh and again its welcoming waters
a tall single reed stands above the tangled grasses and sculptured Queen Anne’s lace as a gentle September sky kisses the expanse of marsh below, part still green, part new gold and secret shimmering tides always

Layers of candy colored water sky marsh surround a far horizon. Near, above a band of warm winter grass, a silhouette flock of snow geese rise like notes, reflecting in low tide waters below, echoes of murmurs of flight exponential.
A path of mystery dark stream flows and leads from underfoot through snow-heavy shrubs into a forest deep and tall with slender trunks and endless snow-adorned branching cascades in the day’s grey light.
Standing at the edge of water filled with reflected silhouettes of trees in all their naked glory and lit grey clouds in gentle ripples glowing up that is down, and the smallest hint of the bright blue, a touch.

An almost black and clouded sky over a set of low ocean waves cresting and breaking cream and green, no moon in view but the touch of silver moon energy skipping along the water, illuminating edges, and reflected almost in full in the black night sand underfoot…
