Screenshot: Where does this leave us? We're so intermingled and polygon, it's not like the southern states ceceding like in the 1850s. If the Republicans gambit to redistrict an electoral college advantage in the house stands, we'll have regional political uniformity. And that's when the real trouble starts. When one region tries to lock the other our of representation, they start fighting over scarce resources. And there we hang.
Dems in CA and Virginia sharpened their tools when Texas state legislature strong-armed their redistricting gambit to eliminate dem seats past the voters by passing their own redistricting referendums with their voters' approval. Now Florida is doing an end run around is own laws to redistricting further. Dems realize that too not retaliate is political suicide. End result: electoral college visas where dems would have to win the popular vote by 4 points to have a prayer at winning the presidency again.
