this is going to be the only thing i say on anything related to this controversy. i think it goes without saying that children and animals cannot consent, and that abuse is wrong. that being said consang and abuse are not mutually inclusive (you can have one without the other, and vice versa) and i don't think it should be controversial to say that a relationship between 2 consenting adults is exactly that, a relationship between 2 consenting adults. i stand by what i said in novatone, people were literally chomping at the bit to cancel a community they hated and waited until something controversial enough came up to do it, vera was used as a scapegoat. im tired of pretending people have an actual argument when in reality the only things ive seen are "this makes me feel icky" and literal eugenics. please stop and think, untangle why you feel the way you feel, and see what is actually causing the harm. i implore you to open your mind and be kind to others as thats how we all grow as people. abuse is wrong, and i thought that was obvious but apparently its not to some. to all the friends ive lost, i hope you can open your heart, and to the haters, i hope you can too, have a lovely day
