AACI represents over 100 academic and freestanding cancer research centers in the U.S. and Canada.

Moffitt Cancer Center modernized its Protocol Review and Monitoring System (PRMS) to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency across its study portfolio. Policy updates, revised accrual monitoring timelines, and new technologies (e.g., PowerBI dashboards, automated notifications) streamlined workflows and reduced administrative burden. Outcomes included a 32% reduction in review timelines and faster communications to study teams. Ongoing efforts focus on further automation and use of AI tools to improve non-human subject research and portfolio management.
