I work in tech, dealing with things involved in public safety, proper "people will die if this breaks" kind of stuff. No appliances in my house connect to the internet, just 240V power. I drive a 30-year-old Range Rover which has a high-spec FM stereo as "infotainment". There's a reason for this.
