Third, we tested to see if effects were more likely to emerge on a set of 11 secondary ideological DVs that were less directly tied to our treatments than the primary DVs (since our respondents could have been reactive to treatment and resisted change on the primary DVs). The same is generally true for the adapted political personality models. They make incorrect predictions in most cases. And the significant effects do not survive even a very liberal correction for multiple comparisons. 6/n
