July 22: Deadline to register to vote online, although Wisconsinites can register in-person at the polls on Election Day with proof of residence. Early voting period starts July 28. August 6 at 5pm is the deadline to request an absentee ballot. Election Day is August 11! Polls are open 7am-8pm.

Verona ended its Flock contract outright protecting over 14,000 local residents from having their data harvested by a private company and potentially ICE. Local officials responded to community concerns around privacy and data sharing.

Know your protest rights: You don't need a permit to protest in response to breaking news. You don't need a permit to march in the streets or sidewalks as long as you're not obstructing traffic or building access. You have the right to photograph or film anything in plain view. If you get stopped by police, ask if you're free to go and walk away calmly. If they arrest you, say you wish to remain silent and ask for a lawyer immediately. Don't say or sign anything without a lawyer present.

State Supreme Court Candidates On the Issues Lazar supported overturning Roe v. Wade and is endorsed by groups that want to ban abortion. Taylor voted against abortion bans and defended abortion rights. Lazar was endorsed by the first Wisconsin sheriff to partner with ICE. Taylor supported legislation to ban ICE detention facilities in Wisconsin. Lazar defended extreme partisan gerrymandering. Taylor opposes extreme partisan gerrymandering. We do not endorse or oppose candidates.
