The Motherland Calls - a gigantic (85m high) statue of a woman (representing Mother Russia) with her sword held aloft and her other hand outstretched, palm held open to the viewer. In Volvograd; built in commemoration of the Soviet / Red Army soldiers who died in the Battle of Stalingrad (as it was then known) against the Nazis. Not a Nazi salute.
