Do you think the withdrawal from Afghanistan was damaging to the US? I do, and so do most people…. Trump negotiated that. But that damage doesn’t hold a candle to the damage that this war, and subsequent “deal” will do. Both negotiated by Trump, both awful, here’s why:

REMINDER: Trump did not just negotiate a broken, impossible deal in Afghanistan. HE ALSO INTENTIONALLY SABOTAGED IT AFTER LOSING THE ELECTION. Starting with drawing down the troops from 13,500 to 2,500 to make the uphill battle Biden faced even more impossible.

So American taxpayers paid both to bomb Iran and then for Iran's reconstruction? Yes Make America Great Again. I know the premium that we should be place on empathy and compassion but if you’re going to fall for this shit then you’re a fucking moron. Plain and simple.

Everything that twat has done has damaged us… You and your coworkers allowed it… I don't know what to say. Congress is still allowing it.

Based on how poorly The Afghani Army performed, getting out of Afghanistan instead of continuing nation building was the right choice. The deal that Trump and Pompeo put together was terrible. I'm not sure how the Biden administration could have performed any better.

Trump will create so much chaos and profiteering with Iran, then leave the giant steaming mess for the next president to deal with. Exactly what he did with Afghanistan.

I think the only thing wrong with your statement is it should say-has done and will continue to do.
MeBlueInMO · Jun 15
TBH - you don't need to say anything more. The felon's name & the word "deal" tells us everything we need to know - we're fucked ... we get it. "felon+deal = Fucked Americans" - we get it & quite frankly, we were expecting it.

The "we don't negotiate with terrorists" president had negotiated with terrorists. It was to have the withdraw in early 2021. That was his first term. Same with: - Mexico pay for wall - Covid will gone by April (2020)

Netanyahu can bomb Lebanon and scuttle this deal at any moment. He holds leverage over Trump and the whole process.

They were both surrenders. The first was a total betrayal of our troops and the Afghan government we helped stand up. He surrendered to the Taliban, plainly under the orders of Vladimir Putin.

Many billions will be spent rearming proxies, which makes the entire region less safe and the prospect of future conflict (looking at you, Israel) INEVITABLE. This dolt has just ⬆️⬆️ the chances of regional nuclear exchange geometrically. This…thing should not be ratified. It is literally the worst.

We didn't negotiate with Afghanistan. We handed over control to our enemy, the Taliban, not the government. We surrendered. Now, we are surrendering to Iran for a war we started.

Here's the thing. There's a few things during Trump 1 that I'm glad that Trump did, such as getting us out of Afghanistan and funding Operation Warp Speed, but even the things he did, he didn't do right.
@redriverdog · Jun 15
I've watched my drunk uncle negotiate a better deal at a used car lot than Trump has with Iran.

Who will get their invite to Camp David first? Iran's Revolutionary Guard or Lebanon's Hezbollah? 😶

The US gained nothing. Trump is poison for America.

Ya mean giving up a country that we worked so hard to try to improve to the Taliban wasn't a good thing? Just ask the females of Afghanistan. Trump basically ruined their lives.

Trump could not negotiate a deal on a delivery of sand in the Sahara He is so inept that he needs both hands and a map to find his own asshole He smashes the system then wants applause & approbation for sweeping the mess under the carpet for someone else to sort out later I want to read his obituary

The Social Security trustees were appointed by Trump and they are lying about how much money there is. I hope everybody here repeats this everywhere please.

Color me shocked!!! The man who secured a second-hand Nobel Peace Prize! After all those wars he alone stopped? How many was he up to last, 10 counting this total surrender?

As an AFG combat vet - I am mortified by how Trump set up Biden at the end of the AFG (occupation) war.
NestorRiveraG · Jun 15
He didn’t “negotiate” anything. He started a shitstorm b/c of the previous Epstein shitstorm, then barely tried to clean up a shit mountain with a thin layer of toilet paper paid for by US taxpayers. That’s not a deal, it’s a textbook clusterfuck. Now? He’ll try same with 🇺🇦 (also won’t work).

The main concession is that they get to unload their oil. Once they clear their stores, they can close the strait again with a couple thousand dollars and a handful of troops costing the US billions of dollars and triggering another energy crisis.

The US should disengage from the middle east and central asia. The costs of being there far outweigh the benefits. Not in our interest.

Before the current debacle my Iranian dentist said that Biden is terrible for abandoning Afghanistan and tRump is great for stopping them from coming here. I was flabbergasted. Did she knew who ended the war and caused the mass evacuation ? She did not. I don't (may never) know her current views.

Most of Congress, some of the judiciary and a lot of the media are complicit in this entire mess. Instead of holding trump et al accountable they've emboldened him. The US is here because lots of those people allowed it to happen. And they continue to allow it.
