Anyone in security services that knew about Qatar's recently developed, highly sophisticated surveillance systems would have never allowed a US President on board. It is staggering it took them so long to figure this out, I knew about it 3 years ago

The Pentagon owns the Qatari plane. The DOJ has issued a letter saying that it can be transferred to the Presidential Library. There is no contract or obligation. The assumption is that it will be done in the dark of night as the term ends. That is, unless Congress can stop it. +
Credible sources tell me that there are always two presidential aircraft sent on every trip. So, it would not be odd to have a backup there. The "old" one does have defensive capabilities. My question is that if the Qatari Bribe Plane is out of service, do they have a backup to the old one?

The airframe of the designed A1 is reinforced to handle maneuvering never anticipated for a civilian aircraft. I think he is sensitive because I think he has repeatedly overruled security recommendations on using the gilded airplane. Maybe they even swapped it out while he was distracted.
