Adding a "note" of context to art doesn't do shit to stop fascists from jacking the art. Because they don't care. Captain America in Civil War 2 is a perfect example of this. Even after OG Steve says outright he's not fascist, Nazi Steve still claims Captain America is fascists, even with context. 🧵

Maybe it's wrong to say that fascists don't understand context. It might be more accurate to say that they don't care about any other context, because the only context, is that they are in the right. Which is why art and culture cannot be made with concessions to fascism, either for or against. 🧵
