Two years in a row of medals from the Yamagata challenge, a Hawaiian canoe race out of Keauhou canoe club on Hawai'i. Today I got 2nd of 2 in my div. Last year Dave Yamagata commissioned Flavor Flav sized medals god bless him.

Ocean canoe crossing a finish line in a no good very bad race in Kua Bay, the rider (me Jacob) has chosen to fly the ama. Oc1s are racing canoes, they sacrifice all stability for speed and get away with it by having an ama. In skaven they call amas "outriggers". I am hammered shit at this point in this race because they set the course up negligently and made us do surprise triple work in the last 3 of 15 miles. Upwind into 30kt sustained! But still I fly the ama, finish line is a finish line. There is an embedded caption on the image, it says "If you know you know"
