There's so, so many more things like this I could point to. People that speculate about the Fermi Paradox always seem to imply that there's supposed to be one singular great filter preventing life from evolving on other worlds. But could it be that it's actually a vast multitude of factors, all of which contribute to the reason life was ever able to make it as far as it has on earth? The answers to the Fermi Paradox aren't in the stars, they're right here on Earth. We should be focusing on what went *right* here, not what went *wrong* elsewhere.
