New release announcement (Version 2.18) Game checkouts are here You can now manage your Game library lending through Aftergame using QR code checkout or manual entry. New role: Volunteer You can now set the role of attendees to "Volunteer", letting them manage event check-in and game library lending. Improved "Manage" menu We've done a Manage menu overhaul, adding helpful hints, more options, and better structure. ...and much more! The image also includes a screenshot showing the lending library in action, with some items lent out and one overdue, and options to filter by game, player, and status.

Release notes: Events overhaul - Events have levelled up with many of the most requested event features and a visual refresh. Multiple hosts - You can add multiple hosts, as well as teachers, GMs, and judges, all while creating the game or event. Manage sign-in - Connect or disconnect a sign-in method with the same or a different email address. ...and much more!

FEATURES [Aftergame+] Event hosts can now check-in attendees, marking them present or absent. This can be done both by scanning QR codes or manually in the list of attendees. Attendees now have a screen with their event check-in details and unique QR code. You can now filter event schedules to show events your friends are attending. This should make navigating large events easier to coordinate! You can now filter event schedules by room. We now show the room and table a game or event is in while viewing the schedule. The sorting UX has been improved in game lists and the event schedule. From within a planned game, you can now @mention anyone attending the parent event, not just those within the game. Improved the relevance of games when searching for games using the plan a game or log play game selector. FIXES Fixed some possible bugs where we would not send push notifications to a device if the permission was granted at the OS-level. Fixed an issue where clicking a notification would sometimes load the page multiple times. Fixed a bug where unscheduled games within a parent event would show up even after the parent event ended. Fixed a bug in leaderboards which could lead to odd sorting when sorting by average score or best score. Fixed a bug where the leaderboard preview would not show enough rows. Various other fixes and performance improvements.

Full update: FEATURES • You can now browse group members or limit your search to just friends when inviting people to games and events. • Invited people no longer automatically fill a seat. Instead, you are given the choice to invite or secure a seat when inviting players to a game. • Add a note when responding to an invite or attending games and events. • The minimum needed players are now shown in a planned game's player list. • Creating events has been simplified and the distinction between a "Meetup" and "Convention" removed. • Aftergame+ subscribers now have the ability to create events with 100 attendees. • View your total games, plays, and hours played for a given filter in the play stats screen. • We now confirm if you want to exit the screen when trying to leave an event, play log, group, or game creation screens. • Event hosts can now manage attendees from the attendees screen. • You can now search for group members or event attendees when viewing the full list. • Recent group events now show up in the group feed with a prompt to add photos. • You can now dismiss group invites. • The play log score input keyboard now has a dismiss button. FIXES • Fixed some app crashes particularly affecting iOS devices. • Fixed a crash when validating ticket links during event creation. • Fixed a handful of bugs when submitting Play to Win entries. • Various other fixes and performance improvements.

The text reads: — Yesterday at 22:23 My random Aftergame success story to share: You guys (Aftergame) were advertised on the latest TI4 Space Cats Peace Turtles podcast episode (episode 403). I had listened to the episode just today. We had a random sign up to our group and join us to play. Turns out he found out about the app via the same podcast episode, didn't find TI4 players, but took a punt and joined us anyway. Was stoked at minimum to find board game players a 5-10 min drive from where they lived. Little did he know, we were actually playing TI4 this Saturday and had room for 1 more. Blew both our minds. The App works folks. There are 6 shiny sloth reactions and one party person.

FEATURES - The Groups tab has been completely rebuilt to better showcase local groups and improve discoverability. - There is now an option to set yourself as 'Interested' to a planned game or event. This will save the event but not yet reserve you a seat. - Event hosts and group admins can now quickly duplicate any game or event. - We now show all nearby planned games when viewing a game. - You can now post multiple game lists in a single post. - We now show more games on the main event page. - [Web] Horizontally scrolling sections now have left and right buttons to easily scroll the view. FIXES - Fixed a bug in game event cards which showed an extra empty seat. - Fixed a bug with collapsible text where in some cases, you could expand to see all. - Fixed a bug which did not show game lists linked to sub-events. - We have improved the import process to immediately update your collection. - Fixed a bug which would wipe the score when editing a play which was imported from BGG. - Fixed the source of a few app crashes. - Various other fixes and performance improvements.

Play logging improvements You can now add in the Game Master, Teacher, or Judge for a play so they also can keep it in their history. For games where there are different role or scenario properties you may want to set, we now support setting all these details! We now have a widget to randomly select a starting player/team. You can also set this manually. When logging a play again, we now copy over more details (rulesets, roles, and scenarios). You can now choose to post a play log to one of your groups to share your fun games! We now keep the screen awake when on the play logging screen.

This image shows how a group on Aftergame can now be "listed" rather than private or public so that people have to request to join, giving admins greater control over the members of their group. It also shows how posts can be pinned to a featured area so group members don't mis important updates.
📰 The Feed The new home screen adds a chronological feed of everything relevant to you in one place. See posts, events, planned games, and play logs all in one place! We'll be adding more (like your collection updates) over the coming months. Posts now can be sent to friends as well as in groups or events (which will show up in their feeds). We now show when new games are planned at an event or within a group in the feed. It's now easier to create posts and plan games straight from the home screen. We have added quick access to your groups right from the home screen. 📸 Photos You can now post photos to groups, events, or friends! Right now a post is limited to 10 photos, but we plan to add in combined event & group albums in the future. 📊 Polls You can now post polls to a group, event, or your friends. Polls allow you to select games or just type in what you want. If games are selected, those voting have a quick way to view the game details so they can get an idea of what they're voting on. You can choose how long a poll runs for and if people can select more than one option. ▶️ Play logs Play logs can now have comment threads and be liked, great for when you post these to the group with photos!. It's now very easy to create a play log right from a planned game within your feed with a single click! We have given play logs a visual upgrade and also show when they were posted as part of an event or group. Fixes New users will get an improved onboarding experience. Fixed a bug when importing games from BGG that were not in any lists. We have continued with performance improvements throughout the app which should make more screens feel more snappy.
FEATURES: You can now choose whether a game or event is happening in person or virtually and add a link if the latter. Locations can now be tagged with whether they are a private home, business, public space, or region. Added an easy way to search for venues rather than manually typing in the address. You can now filter events by distance from a location. We now (finally) allow importing games into a specific list via a spreadsheet. For now, a BGG ID is required for each game. We have greatly improved the UX of importing. The collection/play toggles settings you chose are remembered when you next import. Adding an event to your calendar now opens your default calendar app to give you more control. Added the player count filter to the combined group lists. Improved the "Play again" UX and now allow games to be planned from a play log. FIXES Recent locations are now ordered much more sensibly and more are loaded when you reach the end of the list. Fixed an issue which allowed people to get invited to groups or events multiple times. Fixed issues with imports not correctly updating the lists games were in. Fixed issues with setting a game within an event to be group-visible. Fixed an issue generating monthly repeat events. You can now remove ticket links from an event as expected. We should no longer consistently ask for notification permissions on iOS. Various other fixes and performance improvements.
