Hello everyone! Sorry we’ve been gone so long, we know you all have missed us. Your support has meant a lot to us, truly. As some of the more perceptive of you have noticed, we are back up! We need a little time to crank up the engines again, but we’re moving as fast as we can. First, to address some concerns: No, we weren’t banned, and no we weren’t in any trouble. We paused the service ourselves, and it was always meant to be a temporary hiatus. It just took a bit longer than intended. To put it simply, AIMod had gotten a lot bigger than anyone on the team ever thought it would. We decided that we needed to take a breather and figure out how to best address some of the concerns we’d been hearing from the community as well as implement some extensive technical overhauls. In short, we put things on hold while we made some big changes under the hood.
We are currently changing the way our mute lists function so users have more control over what content they choose to see. Instead of having one all-inclusive list, we are in the process of breaking it down into discrete categories corresponding with our labels. This means someone with an AI profile picture won't be lumped into the same mute list as someone who is posting AI images every day. As we continue the migration process, some accounts that are currently labeled by our labeler might receive a notification as if they had just been added to a new list. If you receive such a notification and believe it is in error, please submit an appeal (or otherwise let us know) so we can resolve the issue.
