Hirami Pan – Kanazawa (Seseragi Street) A bakery inside an old ironworks, covered in ivy. Feels like a secret garden. Croissants and sourdough that would put most French bakeries to shame. A perfect example of how Japan can take something foreign and elevate it with craft and care.

Asahido Honten Café – Kyoto (Near Kiyomizu-dera) Slip off the tourist-packed path and into this peaceful café inside a ceramics store. Tea, sweets, and silence. A lifesaver.
