If You Are Into Woke You Will Enjoy It Seems more like a political agenda disguised as a horror novel. Tries to check all the boxes. Men bad they deserve to die - check. Lesbian lovers - check. Selling dream catchers is Native American cultural appropriation - check Language must be politically correct little person not midget - check. The only one on the police force who is smart and competent is a black woman - check. [blocked out a massive spoiler] If you are into all the above go for it.
Yosemite National Park one star review. Reads: The park had turned several waterfalls off for the season and the main one was turned down so low it was barely working! Why do this in summer when the parks are busiest? Of course, it's entirely likely this review isn't real or it's deliberate satire but it's a great example of the genre. Like the one star review my book got because Amazon didn't package it properly and it arrived damaged. Or the one star I got because the person ordered the wrong book and were annoyed they got mine. Even though they ordered mine. So yeah, don't sweat the reviews, friends.
