Surely the Liberals learned their lesson from the NEP and won't make any attempt to use oil as any kind of pressure point. (Not that they have any support left to lose in Alberta.) Plus, even in a trade war, I think it would be extremely detrimental for us to cut off any energy supply to the USA.
Well if Donny wants a tariff, then the first best option would be for Canada to impose an export tax & tell Donny we fixed it. Then distribute the revenue from the tax to the affected companies. As long as exports remain at the same level
So does that effectively mean Parliament has the authority to force provinces to “turn off the taps”?
