Looks like 15mm wide and 2mm thick. Would the 17mm tray work with these or will they be about loose please?

Thanks for checking! Yes, the 17mm tray should work, but I’m a little concerned about the thickness — ideally, they work best with 1.5mm counters. I’ll test them with one of my DVG games today and let you know how well they fit.
