When I was a pre-literate child, my parents would help me by writing down my stories for me as I dictated them, and then I would illustrate the stories. Here is one that my mother recorded from some day when I was apparently in a TERRIBLE mood. Note the ancient printer paper.

I can't imagine how hard it was for my mom not to burst into laughter this whole time. She found this ancient text today and we laughed until we cried.
