Text of a Facebook post that I posted today: "Left an Ottawa Dads FB group today when a melee broke out over the presence of feminine products in a boys' bathroom at an elementary school. The usual rhetoric of "grooming" was unchallenged by the moderators/admins, people who believe in trans rights were called "retards", and the majority of respondents used words like "unacceptable" and "fucked up". This is our world. I can't even deal with this crap. The original poster had the gall to lecture me on kids in "his day" (which was well after "my day") being taught to be accepting of everyone/everything, and then doubling down on the whole kids-shouldn't-know-what-trans-is narrative. Honestly, just... miss me with that bullshit. Trans rights are human rights. Period."
