Mycena tenerrima- frosty bonnet. A focus bracketed imaged composed of 80 plus frames pieced together in helicon focus to achieve clarity. The mushroom its self is only 1mm tall. I used an OM1 camera / OM 90mm macro lens and a x2 teleconverter to capture this image.

Gliophorus psittacinus - parrot Waxcap a brightly coloured slimy mushroom that grows in unimproved grassland and sometimes woodland. Typically it doesn’t appear in March, September-December in the south of the country

Standing only a few mm tall this tiny white mushroom appears fluffy at this magnification. The little white mushroom is immature but most likely is Mycenaceae. Hemimycena maybe. 🤔 no collection was made for further study.

Mycena tennerima frosty bonnet with water droplets on the top resembling a frog (to me) these mushrooms are only a few mm tall. Captured using a high magnification macro lens using a technique called focus stacking.

Marasmius hudsonii - the holly parachute. This tiny mushroom is saprobic on holly leaves it is no more than 1cm tall making them difficult to spot. They’re covered in tiny spikes which I suspect may act as protection or help with water retention.
