Unintentionally Unsympathetic: The batarian colony that Shepard is forced to slaughter in the Arrival DLC is portrayed as being an extreme and unfortunate side-effect to delaying the Reaper invasion. However, considering the batarians are portrayed almost exclusively as an Always Chaotic Evil race who enslave sapient species and commit genocide on the regular (this especially applies for anyone who has the Colonist and/or Ruthless background), it could almost be seen as doing the galaxy a favor.
