Text of comment: I think it's important to discuss the nazi-fash tendencies of Ukraine Downplaying the fundamental Nazi nature of Ukraine by calling it "tendencies" is just evil. But in the case of the Russian/Ukrainian war It's "the American proxy war against Russia in Ukraine". Learn to call it what it is instead of promoting US/NATO propaganda narratives. leftists are supposed to be on the side of the oppressed and attacked right? Correct. The oppressed and attacked being Russians and socialists in Ukraine and the Russian federation defending them respectively. Or does this make the war different in the eyes of the OP? Nazis must always be opposed and any Nazi country must be totally taken over (by any means necessary) by non-Nazis until they have been totally denazified. Is Russian justified in this aggression Russia is fully justified in its necessary defensive special military operation, yes. because Ukraine has this dark spot? Ukraine is a dark spot. Period. Just like Israel. Just like the Baltics. Just like the United States of America. Just like any NATO country. Or is Russian still the bad aggressor and we are anti-war? Russia is a capitalist dictatorship whose oligarchic government must be overthrown in Marxist-Leninist revolution. Meanwhile, Russia is a victim of US/NATO aggression and is subject to the terrorism of the Nazi-collaborators of the US/NATO regimes who are leading the current, ongoing proxy war - and, as such, must be critically supported. It's really not difficult to understand. Your question is like asking "Why would an anti-imperialist power ally with fascist empires like the US, France, or UK against the Nazis?" - because anyone who fights against the Nazis must be critically supported.
