A Cup A lonely cup, sitting atop an empty porcelain counter. Worn toothbrush, half-used tube of toothpaste, can of deodorant. As weeks pass, the toothbrush and toothpaste get replaced. Months gone by, another cup was added to the counter and with it, another toothbrush. Week after week, the counter became less and less empty: hairbrushes, cans of hairspray, a hair dryer, a piece of candy.
