In Act 1, Aurora meeting Astarion for the first time. They struggle as he holds a dagger at her. She eventually headbutts him. Aurora directly prior to BG3 game events was in Ravenloft battling with Strahd. The Mindflayer ship abducted her and brought her back to Faerûn. She is originally from Faerûn. When she saw Astarion she knew he was a vampire. After she thought about it more, she realized something was off and he wasn't a normal vampire because he was in the daylight. When their tadpoles connected she realized that he wasn't like the other vampires she had been dealing with and decided to give him a chance to show who he really was.
My first fanfiction in BG3 fandom is The Blacksmith and The Fighter AlrendriaBlaze Summary: Rosa is a Moon Elf Fighter. She has been learning the art of being a Fighter throughout Faerün and implementing that knowledge on her adventures. Dammon is a Tiefling Blacksmith. He has newly returned to The Prime Material Plane from his captivity in Avernus. They find affection and comfort in each other's company, forming a lasting bond. Though, more trials await as they must survive their current struggles as Faerün is in danger. Rosa wanting to solve her situation and help keep those she cares about safe. Her quests and adventuring has turned towards more survival of those around her too, ever wanting to keep others from suffering All while adjusting to having her left arm torn from her while protecting the Tieflings from Gnolls so they could make it safely to The Grove. She struggles with changes in her life and Toril around her. Dammon wants to help keep Rosa safe, in the only means he knows how, he will forge anything possible for her and keeps himself busy while she is saving Faerün. He knows she is capable but he can't help worrying about the one mortal he holds dearly to his heart. After everything he has been through lately, he hopes luck is still on his side. Love can be forged even in the darkest of times.

Aurora looking ahead in Act 1. After the events in BG3, Aurora and Astarion move to The Underdark to live, and help with the Spawn hoard. At some point Aurora starts being a protective guide again but for The Underdark. She makes her own maps since there isn't any readily available.

First letter: My Lovely Tav, Thank you for bringing me infernal metal on your last visit. It is exciting to get to work with it again. You have always understood my pull towards this metal and never judged me on it. I'm grateful for your understanding. When you visit again I will have something amazing to gift you. I would rather mold it into something you can use than keep it for myself. Having the pleasure to work with it and see you happy is enough. Your smile is warmer than any forge and you melt my heart. Aurora in Act 1 looking ahead. There is a long list of her backstory that wasn't planned. As I played BG3 and discussed with others, her backstory took form. I like to think she slowly revealed her history to me as time passed. The most recent addition to her backstory and was completely not planned is right before the abduction from the Mindflayers she was in Ravenloft battling with a group of adventures against Strahd. I haven't played Cursed of Strahd campaign yet, but when I do her backstory will take more form. She is picked up by the Mindflayer ship and deposited back into Faerûn where BG3 begins. I find it both ironic and humorous that the first Companion she finds is Astarion and she eventually falls for him too. I'm going with she knew he was a vampire or spawn but figured he must be different because of being able to walk in the sun. Though when their tadpoles connected, she was able to see and feel more about how he didn't want to be a vampire and it wasn't his choice to do many things he did. She is highly perceptive and could recognize another soul who has been abused. They connected on that realization about both being used by others. (1/2)
Aurora in Act 1 looking forward. Aurora eventually was able to see Raphael for what he truly is, and how he manipulated her most of her life to help him obtain souls. She thought he was actually helping those in need, and didn't realize the complete intentions behind his actions until two events happened in her life that made her see. One of those events she lost her best friend when she thought her brother, Raphael, could really help her. At the beginning of BG3 game events, it had been at least two years since she started to break away from him. Also, Raphael and Mephistopheles had a beat about who could corrupt her more for their own amusement.

Aurora in the Underdark under some glowing mushrooms and in front of some purple crystals. When she lives in the Underdark with Astarion, after in game events, she becomes a guide and protection for travelers in the Underdark. She is also an advisor to Astarion with the spawn hoard. Aurora and Astarion live in the Arcane Tower. They continue adventuring too.

Every time I hear the song "Dandelions" by Ruth B. think about Dammon laying in a field of dandelions thinking about Rosa. This is when he is in Act 3 at his Forge of the Nine in Baldur's Gate but Rosa is still in the Shadowlands. Dammon hasn't asked her to marry him yet. He is waiting until the whole mess with the Mindflayers is solved. He has already started working on making metal rings for them. He is concerned about Rosa but knows she will eventually make it to Baldur's Gate, and him. He taking a break from his forge. He walks to the gardens in Baldur's Gate and just lays in a field of dandelions thinking about Rosa. His hair is undone and he is wearing his everyday clothes. He looks up into the sky. watching the clouds pass and thinks about Rosa. He hums to himself while picking the flowers. He makes several wishes and he is so deeply in love with Rosa. He can't help smiling when he thinks about her. He basks in the warmth of the sun and imagines their life together. 🥺❤️‍🔥🩷 Several pictures of Dammon and Rosa are included. I decided to rework the summary for The Blacksmith and The Fighter too. It needed updating. Here is the new story summary: Rosa is a Moon Elf Fighter. I have been working on a new summary for Fire, Ash and Metal that describes the story much better. After 2 years of writing this story and researching the lore, I know where this fic is going and what it is about. Here is the new summary: Elturel is plummeted into the depths of Avernus where Devils and Demons fight an eternal Blood War. One simple Tinsmith was snatched further into the wastelands and forced to work in an devil forge under Carixim. Dammon isn't an adventurer, only an ordinary Tiefling from Elturel surrounded by the evils of The Nine Hells as he tries to survive unimaginable circumstances. He faces challenges, escapes doom, and learns a new trade. Not everything is completely bad for one of the luckiest Tieflings alive. His story hasn't been told until now. Full of DnD lore, Forgotten Realms lore, and loosely following the Descent into Avernus campaign this story follows one ordinary NPC through the Hells and the challenges he faces. A blacksmith forged in Hells fire.
After leaving Dammon's room, Rosa spends most of the rest of the day making sure everything is in order for when they travel to Moonrise. She checks on the Harpers to see if they need any help with mending Last Light Inn from the attack. She goes to the outskirts of the Moon maiden's protection to gather supplies with Astarion and Lae'zel. Astarion asks as he watches Rosa trying to detect any items around them, "Sooo0o, how is the blacksmith fairing?" She says softly, "He is ok. Banged up a great deal but he will be ok with some rest." He says, "Tm sure you can mend him up well enough. Why are you out here savaging for supplies and not tending to him?" She turns to him and raises and eyebrow, "Not sure how it is any of your concern." He chuckles and says playfully, "I'm only wanting to make sure our leader is in good spirits and all." He coughs.

The Blacksmith and The Fighter. Chapter 3 snippet: Rosa decides to take a break. She walks to the lower level of the Inn and goes to the bar. One pint of ale wouldn't hurt right about now. She sees Rolan at the bar and he looks to be drunk already again today. She keeps the tears welding in her eyes from spilling. She knows that feeling, the feeling of hopeless to help a sibling in danger. She takes a deep breath and decides to go back outside. Rolan's grief is a constant reminder of her own and her own failings. She doesn't have time for these emotions that won't obey. As she passes Alfria, she hears her ask softly, "How do you do it? How do you keep going on after so much loss?" Rosa stops next to her and says truthfully, "I just find something in me to keep going, one step at a time, and hope make the right decisions. Something that compells me to make sure no one else has to suffer and have to look at the bigger picture here, accounting for every angle." She says, "Yes, finding that internal drive and reason that compells one to not give up." Rosa nods, "Yes, some days are easier than others." Alfria says softly, "That is true." She looks up at her and says, "I'm just glad to see you, everyone...well almost everyone made it here safely." Rosa says as she puts her right hand on her shoulder, "We will get the others back safely too." Alfria says softly, "I know you will, and know you are doing everything you can to make sure that happens." Rosa says with confidence, am." She pauses for a moment then asks, "How..how did everyone get away from the cultists?"
