Whether this girl was a citizen, a legal resident, or undocumented is irrelevant. Whether she was perfectly law abiding or accused of a crime is irrelevant. A grown man kneeling on the neck of a 15 year old girl (one who also wasn’t resisting) is beyond the pale-an act indefensible under any circumstance. Anyone who hasn’t lost their humanity knows this.
A message to All SSA employees Subject: Planning for Potential Lapse in Funding President Trump opposes a government shutdown, and strongly supports the enactment of H.R. 5371, which is a clean Continuing Resolution to fund the government through November 21, and already passed the U.S. House of Representatives. Unfortunately, Democrats are blocking this Continuing Resolution in the U.S. Senate due to unrelated policy demands. If Congressional Democrats maintain their current posture and refuse to pass a clean Continuing Resolution to keep the government funded before midnight on September 30, 2025, federal appropriated funding will lapse. A funding lapse will result in certain government activities ceasing due to a lack of appropriated funding. In addition, designated pre-notified employees of this agency would be temporarily furloughed. P.L. 116-1 would apply. The agency has contingency plans in place for executing an orderly shutdown of activities that would be affected by any lapse in appropriations forced by Congressional Democrats. Most importantly, if you get arrested or stopped by law informant, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!! Know Your Protest Rights: 1. You don’t need a permit to protest in response to breaking news and you don’t need a permit to march in the streets or along sidewalks, as long as you’re not obstructing traffic or access to buildings. 2. When you are lawfully present in any public space, you have the right to photograph anything in plain view, including federal buildings and police. 3. If you believe your rights have been violated, when you can, write down everything you remember, get contact information for witnesses, and take photographs of any injuries. 4. If you get stopped by the police, ask if you’re free to go. If they say yes, calmly walk away. 5. If you get arrested, you have a right to ask why. Otherwise say you wish to remain silent and ask for a lawyer immediately. Don’t sign, say, or agree to anything without a lawyer present. 6. If you get stopped by a member of the military or any law enforcement officer at a protest, you have the right to remain silent or to tell them that you only answer questions in the presence of an attorney-no matter your citizenship or immigration status.
