Hope Like Glass At five years old, my mother led me through a labyrinth of crystal figurines. Each handmade piece stood tall, nothing askew; my fingers ached to bring them down to me. "Don't touch," she said (she knew her daughter well), "They're breakable; we can't afford to pay." Though true, their power shone when sunlight fell upon the glass: their brilliance on display. To hold hope well, you must use tranquil hands or it will shatter in your fingertips. The lightest touch fragility demands, though gentleness does not its strength eclipse. With tender hands and just as tender hearts, We cling to hope and the strength that it imparts.
